The Department of International Trade (DIT) of the British Embassy in Chile is developing a UK Mining Directory in order to provide insight and develop commercial connections between Chilean needs and UK suppliers of products and services to the sector. The Cornwall Mining Alliance is a member of the DIT Directory.
The Department of International Trade is keen to attract UK mining companies and associations to mining conferences in Santiago in order to provide direct exposure to the Chilean mining industry, access to key contacts and updates about the sector. To assist in this, DIT Chile has worked with GECAMIN to deliver a programme of technical international seminars and conferences that focus on generating interdisciplinary collaboration within the mining industry.
GECAMIN organises seminars in collaboration with national and international institutions, such as Universidad de Chile, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Concepción, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, The University of Western Australia, The University of Queensland, University of Toronto, and Colorado School of Mines, among others.
