GroundSearch is a specialist drilling contractor with roots in the mineral exploration sector. The company formed in 1997 to provide a range of drilling services to land and mineral developers as well as geo-environmental consultancies across the South West and further afield.
GroundSearch drill rig operatives are experienced in working with challenging ground conditions on former mine sites, such as unstable slopes/mine waste, voided, backfilled and flooded abandoned mine workings.
Bespoke services include:
- Geotechnical site investigation – rock coring, window sampling, logging, Standard Penetration Tests.
- Geo-environmental boreholes – installation of groundwater and round gas monitoring wells
- Mining investigations – rotary open hole drilling with a range or manoeuvrable tracked rigs.
- Ground source heat boreholes – installation of ground source heat pumps.
